A journey in which the contrast between the unspoiled calm of the desert and the incredible man made structures in the city is king, a unique opportunity ti capture an incredible variety of scenes. A place where one can experiment with different photographic styles, nature and architecture, from the incredible soft light of the desert sunsets to the artificial that lights up the skyscrapers making them work of art.
DAY 0
Arrival and checki in in the hotel.
DESERT
DAY 1
We meet up in the hotel lobby before dawn ready to capture our first sun rise by the "Palm", the famous man-made peninsula from where we will have a first taste of the Dubai skyline.

After sun rise, breakfast back at the hotel where, in total relax, we will look at some of the photos we took and share some post production tips.
In the afternoons we head for the desert where we will have time to settle in to be ready to welcome the sunset and our first night sky. A unique opportunity to frame the "never the same" desert dunes lit up by either the natural light of the stars or by artificial light to enhance their details.
DAY 2
Second wake up call before dawn, we head back to the desert where, now a bit more familiar with what to expect, we set out our gear ready to capture the new sunrise surrounded by beautiful and never ending yellow sandy dunes. We will spend the entire morning exploring the desert, looking for unique photo opportunities and creative composition to best capture the mood of the location.

After lunch back in the hotel, we will work on our post production skills using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. We will also have the opportunity to admire Dubai Marina, where waterways wind through huge skyscrapers.
​
Our sunset location for the day will be one of the most futuristic bridges in the city, with its sinuous and regular shapes, decorated with colourful lights. This will also be an opportunity for us be better understand and practice the rules of symmetry and architectural photography.
DAY 3
Second dawn in the desert. Could not miss the opportunity for one last emotional encounter with the desert magic and the never ending opportunities for original compositions around every corner.

By noon we will move back to Dubai down town we can experience the city from within and admire the grandeur of Dubai Mall and its surroundings.
​
For the grand finale sunset, our location is what is surely the most beautiful terrace in Dubai and perhaps in the world. From level 47 of the Shangrilla hotel we will admire the city skyline dominated by Burjikalifa. Our task for the night will be to capture in a photo the emotions that this unique view will give us.
Last breakfast together before heading back to Mudai International Airport and say fair well ready for our next photographic adventure together.

Workshop Dubai 2020 €1.500 per person.
Minimum of 5 people required. Max of 10.

To secure your spot a €900 deposit is required. The remaining €600 are to be settled by 30 days before departure. Once the workshop group is confirmed, we would recommend to book the flight as soon as possible for the best deal possible.
